Too much time on Flickr and other websites

I’m slowing realizing that everyone I’ve heard of is somehow connected. I’m really not sure how I feel about this. In some ways, I think it’s very interesting, and shows us how the world is smaller than we think.

But mostly, it’s upsetting me, and I can’t put my finger on why. Maybe because it just keeps boiling down to the same few people that everyone knows. Sigh.

    So it really all boils down to the 6 degrees of seperation! There is something to it afterall. That and the Kevin Bacon game! But really I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE the new picture. It screams Macis in so many ways.

    I figured out what upsets me: exclusion. Not that I’m being purposely excluded - it’s just that everyone knows each other in this big circle, and I’m out on the fringe.

    Then again, I have my own circle! We just don’t have such a strong web presence… (possibly because we have non-web jobs)
