Crushes on celebrities
I’ve never been one to harbor “love” for people I have no chance of meeting. I’m more realistic. Instead, I had a crush on almost every guy I met between grades five and twelve. That’s not to say I haven’t been intrigued by certain famous people, just that I’m well aware that it’s a public persona, and may not reflect the true person.
I have been attracted to more “alternative” personalities, I suppose. At eleven, most of my friends were ga-ga over Kirk Cameron, who totally left me cold. I, on the other hand, watched Star Trek: The Next Generation and drooled over dreamy Whil Wheaton. I admit, I’m still not totally over that one, even though he’s married with kids.
I’m not immune to celebrities’ public charms! To prove it, I’ve provided a list of my current famous crushes:
- Greg Grunberg
- Seth Rogan
- Paul Rudd
- Anderson Cooper – So angular! So hot!
Also, on a related note: I was reading People this weekend (don’t you dare razz me about that), and there was an ad featuring Lucy Liu sitting on the lap of a cute, nerdy, redheaded and bespectacled librarian. I don’t even remember what the product was. All I could think was, “Yes.”

I still have a crush on Wil Wheaton. He’s an amazing writer & blogger! Plus, he does a lot of sketch comedy here in LA, so we get to see him “up close and personal.” One of my big celebrity crushes has always been John Cusack. Saw him a week or so ago at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Oh yeah… he wanted me.

So I’m very very sad because the internet just told me that Anderson Cooper is probably gay. It’s not like he’s going to come round my place anytime soon anyway, but still. Pout.
